Job Description: The Health and Physical Education department at Walla Walla University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to begin July 1, 2026. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Health Science, and Sports Management & Coaching.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Teaching exercise science, health science, physical education theory, and activity classes.
  • Involvement in scholarly activities related to the discipline.
  • Departmental and university committee memberships, advising students, and involvement with professional organizations.

Qualifications: An earned doctorate in a Health or Physical Education related field is preferred (candidates with a master’s degree also considered) with an exceptional record of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will be a Seventh-day Adventist dedicated to integrating faith with teaching, leadership, and scholarship.

The department seeks candidates to join a collaborative team focused on student success, and committed to the ongoing development of our curriculum to produce thoughtful, inquisitive, and engaged professionals that will advance the health and well-being of the next generation.
